A handsome set of three vintage German knives by Eichenlaub of Solingen, with beautifully simple dark wood handles and polished stainless steel blades.
Founded in Solingen in 1910, Eichenlaub became known for finely made cutlery combining traditional craftsmanship with natural handle materials. Each blade bears the Eichenlaub oak-leaf mark along with "Solingen Rostfrei," denoting stainless steel.
Originally made as table or dessert knives, their petite scale makes them especially useful today for a cheese or charcuterie board, butter and spreads, brunch, or alongside a collection of mismatched vintage flatware.
Mid-20th century.
Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. Natural variation in the wood gives each handle its own character.
