Antique Apollo Silverplate Oblong Tray by Bernard Rice’s Sons, c. 1910's-1920's
An elegant early 20th-century silverplate tray by Bernard Rice's Sons, Inc. of New York, crafted under their Apollo E.P.N.S. line, circa 1910's-1920's.
The long, gently curved form features a beautifully detailed repeating border, polished to a wonderful bright shine. Originally designed as a serving or bread tray, it works beautifully today as a decorative catch-all on a bar or console, filled with rolled napkins or flatware for entertaining, or as a statement piece on a sideboard.
Marked beneath: Apollo E.P.N.S. / Made in U.S.A. / Bernard Rice's Sons Inc., with pattern number 7126/1.
Good antique condition with surface wear consistent with age. Localized pitting and plate loss within the bowl are visible in photographs. We recommend decorative use or use with linens, wrapped items, or flatware rather than direct food contact.
