Vintage White Porcelain Lotus-Petal Footed Bowl

A lovely little vintage porcelain bowl with an elegant lotus-petal form, delicately scalloped rim and petite footed base. The porcelain is remarkably fine and thin, with a beautiful translucency when held to the light.

At just three inches across, its original purpose is uncertain, though its size and form are consistent with small tea or presentation cups. Today, we love it as a petite serving bowl for olives, nuts, salts or condiments, or simply as a beautiful little decorative object.
