Vintage Set of 12 Natural Scallop Shells

A beautiful set of twelve large natural scallop shells, selected for their generous scale, creamy white interiors and softly variegated exteriors.

Ten are closely matched in size, with two slightly smaller shells completing the set. Each retains its natural shape, texture and subtle variations in ivory, blush and sandy tones.

We love them piled together as a sculptural centerpiece, scattered down a summer table, or used individually for entertaining. Their substantial size also makes them wonderful serving vessels for a small seafood course, think a seared scallop finished with crème fraîche and caviar, or for salt, garnishes and other small bites. Also can be used as small cocktail plates, perfect for a seafood tower or large raw bar.

When not on the table, they're simply beautiful objects: stacked on a console, layered into a bowl, or mixed into a collection of natural curiosities.
