Vintage Mother-of-Pearl Knives with Sterling Collars, Set of 4

A beautiful set of four mother-of-pearl handled tea or fruit knives by the Northampton Cutlery Company, each with an ornate sterling silver collar and French-style stainless steel blade.

The distinctive curved blades with upswept points were designed for the tea, dessert or fruit course, ideal for neatly slicing and paring fruit, cheese and other small bites.

Today, these are especially lovely put to work around the table. Add them to a cheese board, set them alongside dips and spreads, use them for butter, cream cheese or jam at brunch, or mix them into a collected place setting with your favorite silver flatware. The detailed sterling collars and natural iridescence of the mother-of-pearl make even the simplest spread feel special.

The blades are marked "Northampton Stainless."

In very good vintage condition with surface wear and patina consistent with age and use. The mother-of-pearl handles are beautifully intact without significant cracks or chips, and the sterling collars retain crisp scrollwork detailing.
