A fabulous pair of Frank Whiting sterling silver and blown glass holders dating to the 1920's–30's, small pieces of Jazz Age glamour that are remarkably useful nearly a century later.

Each features a blown glass body finished with a sterling silver rim. Originally made for the well-appointed table or bar, vessels of this form were used for cigarettes, matches and toothpicks.

Today, the possibilities are even better. Use them for toothpicks or short cocktail picks; fill one with long matches and add a removable strike to the underside; or use them as petite taper candle holders with a standard taper and removable candle-fitting adhesive. And, of course, they can still serve their original cocktail-era purpose as cigarette holders.

Made by Frank Whiting, the historic American silversmith known for fine sterling table and decorative wares. Details: Frank Whiting American, c. 1920's–30's Sterling silver and blown glass.

Excellent antique condition with light wear consistent with age, Any matches, cigarettes, cocktail picks, toothpicks or candles pictured are for styling purposes only and are not included. Any adhesive candle fitter or match strike shown is removable and does not permanently alter the antique pieces.
