Vintage Godinger “Grape” Silverplate Scallop Shell Serving Dish, Made in USA, 10"

A striking vintage silverplate serving dish by Godinger, from the maker's discontinued Grape collection. Shaped as an oversized scallop shell, the piece features deeply fluted contours and an elaborate raised border of grapes, fruit, leaves and curling vines.

Measuring 10 x 8 inches, its sculptural form makes a beautiful addition to a bar, cocktail table or entertaining spread. Line it with leafy greens for chilled shrimp or seafood, use it for wrapped sweets or cocktail snacks, or fill it with cocktail napkins and other entertaining essentials. Or beautiful as a catch-all dish on a bar, counter or dresser.

Stamped "Godinger Silver / Made in USA." Dating to the late 20th century. Beautifully polished and highly decorative, with surface wear and scattered areas of minor pitting consistent with vintage silverplate. Because of this wear, we recommend using a food-safe liner rather than placing food directly on the surface.
