Vintage Silverplate Square Cocktail Tray

A beautifully designed English silverplate tray by Parkin of Sheffield, with an unusual square form defined by deep concave corners and a crisp, architectural stepped border.

The restrained design gives the tray remarkable presence without relying on elaborate ornament. At 10 inches square, it's an ideal size for cocktails, a decanter and glasses, hors d'oeuvres or a small coffee service, and equally handsome left out on a bar or console.

Made in Sheffield, England by E. H. Parkin & Co./Parkin Silversmiths, a Sheffield silverware manufacturer established in 1919. Marked PSL with the firm's cameo trademark and SHEFFIELD ENGLAND to the underside.
