Vintage Silverplate Grape & Vine Wine Bottle Coaster

Substantial vintage silverplate wine bottle coaster richly decorated with grapes, leaves, and twisting vines in high relief. The deep sides are finished with rope-like borders, while the interior features an elaborate engraved foliate design, a particularly decorative example of a classic entertaining piece.

Designed to cradle a bottle at the table while catching condensation and drips, its generous proportions work beautifully with wine or champagne. It's the kind of practical piece that instantly makes opening a bottle feel a little more special, whether set on a dinner table, bar, or drinks tray.

Unmarked. Material: Silverplate over heavy base metal. Good vintage condition with surface scratches, plating wear and areas of finish loss consistent with age and use, particularly to the underside. The raised grape-and-vine decoration remains beautifully defined.
