Vintage E.G. Webster & Sons for International Silver Reticulated Tray

A spectacular vintage silverplate serving tray by E.G. Webster & Sons for International Silver Company, featuring an unusually elaborate combination of pierced, engraved and raised floral decoration.

The substantial square tray is framed by a beautifully reticulated border of pierced foliate and geometric motifs, finished with a richly modeled outer edge of flowers, leaves and scrolling ornament. Fine floral engraving fills the center, surrounding an open cartouche and giving the entire piece extraordinary decorative presence.

The generous square format is particularly striking on a bar or coffee table, beautiful beneath a decanter and glasses, used for cocktail service, or simply displayed as a decorative object.

Marked E.G.W.&S., IS, International Silver Co., 3228/15 on the underside.
