Vintage Amston No. 1610 Silverplate & Glass Ice Bucket, Mid-Century
A substantial mid-century ice bucket by Amston Silver Co., beautifully crafted in fine silverplate over copper with its original heavy glass liner. Produced in Connecticut during the mid-20th century, the No. 1610 features an elegant pedestal base, domed lid, ornate side handles and a decorative loop finial.
The generous proportions and substantial construction give it wonderful presence on a bar while the glass liner makes it practical for everyday use and entertaining.
Freshly polished and ready for service, whether filled with ice for cocktails or used to chill a bottle of wine. A handsome piece of classic American barware.
Marked "Amston / Fine Silver Plate / 1610 / EPC." Amston Silver Co. operated in Amston, Connecticut from the mid-1940s through 1961. Very good vintage condition. The silverplate presents beautifully, with light pitting inside the lid and one small area on the underside consistent with age and use. Original glass liner is intact and in excellent condition.
