Vintage Reed & Barton “Shannon” Silverplate Square Serving Bowl, c. 1940's

A handsome vintage silverplate serving bowl by Reed & Barton in the Shannon pattern, dating to approximately the late 1940's. The softly squared shape features broad, sculptural fluting and a subtly shaped rim, simple enough to mix easily with other tableware.

At approximately 6.5 x 6.5 inches and 1 inch deep, it's an ideal little entertaining piece for cocktail nuts, olives, sweets or other small bites. Beyond the table, it makes an elegant catchall for keys, jewelry or other small treasures. Equally at home in a crisp modern interior or layered into a more traditional table, it's an easy way to add the warmth and polish of vintage silver. Freshly polished and ready to use, with light surface wear consistent with age.
